Take advantage of the New Spot-Dimensional coating option to make your next project standout among the rest. This Spot-Dimensional coating is a raised clear coating with 28 microns in height to give your text and/or images a simulated 3-D effect.

How do I create a spot “Dimensional Clear” layer?

1. Build or import your file into a industry-standard raster or vector program, such as Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator, or InDesign.

2. Create a new layer (in Photoshop create a new spot-color channel)

3. Select image, text or pattern that you wish to have the Dimensional Clear coating, and make a copy of these items into the new layer or channel you created. Be sure to build in bleed .125 as needed

4. Fill the selected area with a spot color named “DIMENSIONAL”; specify this to overprint.

6. Make sure all other spot colors besides the “DIMENSIONAL” are converted to process (CMYK)

5. Export final file for submission:
• Photoshop save files as DC2
• Illustrator save files as .eps or .pdf
• InDesign save files as .pdf

6. Open and check your exported file; then submit to be printed

To view online PDF proofs with Dimensional Coating for accuracy:

1. Open your proof in Adobe Acrobat PROFESSIONAL (not Adobe Reader).

2. Notice that the areas that the “Dimensional Clear” will be applied to, will be an transparent green color.

3. Go to the menu:
Advanced > Print Production > Output preview
This will bring up a pallet with all the colors used.

4. Uncheck the box next to the green spot color named “NexPress DryInk raised clear” or “DIMENSIONAL”.
You may recheck this box to check the clear separation positioning if you chose.

Pollution, over-flowing landfills and disappearing forests are all endangering our Planet. Thus many businesses are now employing green practices in order to help save our Planet. We want to do our share! We now offer environmentally-friendly printing featuring high-quality recycled and chlorine-free papers, at affordable prices.

Here are some of the other ways we are contributing:

We use soy/vegetable based inks and Zero VOC solvents on ALL of out printing jobs in order to reduce air pollution, and improve employee safety.
We actively recycle all of our paper waste, used plates, waste inks and solvents, in order to reduce pollution and improve employee safety.
We educate our Clients on the benefits of green printing and offer reasonably-priced print services.

If you want Green Printing, go to our Pricing Calculator and select the paper with "Go Green" in the name. Your order will be printed on green paper for no additional charge!
